Right now the song sounds very choppy especially when I jump from C to E because there is a massive gap and the loop doesn't line up with the drums at all: at C, the sample matches the song tempo (78 BPM) at E, the sample is maybe 90 BPM (just a rough guess), which leaves a silent gap at the end of each measure due to the 12 BPM difference. However, this loop is the main melody of my song, so I want to keep its rhythm constant.
Throughout the song I change the song's key 7 times (I know this is a strange technique but it gives the song an interesting vibe.) I have done this with the piano roll the same way I would for any other sample, and usually I don't mind the speed change: raising vocals 1 octave and having the speed doubled sounds kind of cool as a creative effect IMO on vocal samples, drums, etc. I have a loop which I want to change the pitch for.
